Cobra Kai’s Eagle Fang Students Spread Their Wings in Season 4 Clip (Exclusive)

In an exclusive clip from Season 4 of Netflix’s Cobra Kai, Johnny Lawrence gives his Eagle Fang students an important — and dangerous — lesson.

CBR presents an exclusive clip from the upcoming fourth season of Netflix’s Karate Kid spinoff Cobra Kai.

The clip begins with Eagle Fang sensei Johnny Lawrence explaining to his students that in order to beat Cobra Kai at the All Valley Karate Tournament, they first need to learn how to “fly” by jumping from one rooftop to the next. Sam and Demetri immediately object to the stunt, despite Johnny’s assistance that there are safety mattresses on the ground below.

Cobra Kai premiered on YouTube Premium in 2018 and after Season 2, Netflix won a bidding war to bring the series to the streaming giant beginning with Season 3. Set three decades after The Karate Kid, the series centers on Johnny Lawrence and Danny LaRusso, now adults and senseis of Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do Karate, respectively. Season 1 sees Johnny restarting Cobra Kai and taking on the frequently bullied Miguel as his first student, with the dojo soon gaining popularity among Miguel’s classmates. Things take a turn when Miguel begins developing feelings for Daniel’s daughter Samantha and Daniel takes on Johnny’s estranged son Robby Keene as his own student. Season 2 brings the original Cobra Kai sensei, John Kreese, back into the fold, and Season 3 sees Johnny and Danny join forces as they prepare to take on their shared enemy in Season 4, along with the returning Terry Silver from The Karate Kid Part III.

“We love the Terry Silver character from Karate Kid III. We’ve talked about his character from the beginning, you know, from before writing the first episode,” co-showrunner Hayden Schlossberg recently explained. “You just don’t know at what point he’s going to enter in the early days. We didn’t say, ‘OK, it’s gonna be Season 4.’ By the time Season 4 hit, we wanted to bring that energy into the show. We’ve seen, at that point, Kreese with Johnny, and it would be interesting to add a contemporary perspective–somebody who knows Kreese and can talk to Kreese in a different way.”

Season 4 of Cobra Kai premieres Dec. 31 on Netflix.
